Another injury ahead of Dortmund

Spurs manager Maurico Pochettino revealed the clubs injury crisis had a new victim with Danny Rose joining his fellow left back Ben Davies ruled out of the Champions League tie with Borussia Dortmund.

Rose has a gash on his shin and was unable to train today and the Argentinian manager revealed that would make it impossible for him to start the game.

With both first team left backs injured the role will fall to either Kyle Walker-Peters to step in and cover or Jan Vertonghen who has represented his country at left back for over 75% of his 100+ caps.  The Belgian said of the prospect of playing left back: “I am very different full back to Danny (Rose) and Ben) Davies however I know I can do a job for the team there.

“I feel I am in the best shape of my career right now…”  He added when asked about his age as a follow up question.

Spurs play Dortmund at Wembley stadium Wednesday 13th February with an 8pm kick off.
