Kane – “Losing hurts but we need to move forward..”

Harry Kane insists Tottenham have plenty of time to turn their fortunes around after surrendering their unbeaten Premier League record against Chelsea on Saturday evening.

Spurs avoided defeat in their opening 12 top-flight games this term but were edged out at Stamford Bridge courtesy of a 2-1 scoreline.

Defeat in west London has left Mauricio Pochettino’s side languishing in fifth place and seven points off the title pace with two thirds of the campaign remaining.

Kane is determined to stay positive and has already turned his thoughts to next week’s home clash against Swansea.

‘It’s been a tough week to go out of the Champions League and now lose against Chelsea but it’s early, we’ve still plenty of games left in the Premier League,” Kane stated.

“Swansea next week is definitely one we’re now looking at to try and get back to winning ways and put this week behind us.’
However, although Kane is keen to draw a line under the defeat to Chelsea the Spurs striker has admitted the result was difficult to take given the manner of his side’s performance.

‘Everyone knows we probably played better than Chelsea over the 90 minutes but we’ve come away with nothing and that’s difficult.”

“It’s the same in any London derby, if you don’t win it’s disappointing. It hurts.
That’s football but we have to get on with it and prepare for Swansea,” he added.
