Malcom could sign for Spurs in the summer after meeting Pochettino

Bordeaux star Malcom could finally complete his dream move to the Premier League by signing for Spurs in the summer.

The Brazilian youngster has dominated headlines this month with talk of a move to one of the Lilywhites, Arsenal or Manchester United.

While the Gunners looked to be in pole position to secure his signature, Mauricio Pochettino’s team move ahead of their rivals despite the player looking destined for the Emirates.

However, although a January transfer looked very likely, the Ligue 1 side have stated that the player won’t be going anywhere ahead of Wednesday’s transfer deadline.

Even though he may not be on the move in the coming days, UOL in Brazil state that a move could now happen at the end of the season.

The report claims that the attacker met up with Pochettino last week and was left ‘delighted’ after discussing a potential move to the club.

With the boss outlining his plan to turn Malcom into one of Europe’s best players in three years, it left the player ‘convinced’ that his future is in the capital with Spurs.

As well as the 20-year-old arriving at the club, it looks like he will join a fellow Brazilian with Lucas Moura closing in on a transfer from Paris Saint-Germain.

Speaking after his side’s 1-1 draw with Newport County in the FA Cup, Pochettino said the club have options ahead of the transfer deadline.

“Of course we have some options. We are going in the last few days to see if we can add players that add good quality,” said the manager.

“If not then it won’t happen. But it’s about in the next few days to see if we have some possibilities with some players.”
