New LB first signing of the summer?

Fulham wonderkid Ryan Sessegnon poised to sign for Tottenham Hotspur this summer
Left-sided starlet still just 17 but shone in the Championship last season with Mauricio Pochettino set to beat Premier League rivals to signature.

Left-sided player Sessegnon played 25 times in the league last year, scoring five goals – but remarkably has still not signed a professional contract at Craven Cottage.

His performances in a campaign where Fulham reached the play-offs was rewarded with a place in the PFA Championship Team of the Year.

The Times report he is currently only on a scholarship contract with Fulham having turned 17 two weeks ago and can leave instead of signing pro but is yet to sign.

Tottenham, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City have all been plotting a summer swoop, with the Cottagers entitled to a compensation fee.

And it appears Tottenham have won the race for the highly-rated player who is valued by Fulham at around £15million.

Spurs have had injury problems at left-back all season, with Danny Rose’s knee injury meaning reserve Ben Davies finished the season.

A bid draw for any young player right now is playing under Pochettino.
