Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher believes despite Chelsea being favourites Spurs can overhaul their London neighbours and win the title.
“They have a lead (Chelsea) but we have all seen bigger leads be clawed back in the past and this Tottenham team came close last season, that experience will serve them well and yes they are contenders, they have a chance.”
The former Liverpool defender was full of praise for how Pochettino has set the team up; “…they are solid at the back, they do not give much away at all and their full backs are probably one of the best pairings in European football if not the world. They are that good.”
Spurs currently sit second in the league table having dispatched West Brom 4-0 last time out however face a tricky away trip to Manchester City next.
“The next game is a true test for their championship credentials. If you want to worry Chelsea and have them looking over their shoulders you need to go to Man City and win.”
