Juan Foyth has completed his transfer to Tottenham Hotspur for a fee of around £8m.
The Argentine centre back’s transfer had hit a stumbling block earlier in the month, however, an agreement has now being reached. The 19 year old is an exciting prospect and signs from Estudiantes. He caught the eye of Spurs when playing for Argentina U20’s world cup team and he turned down a move to PSG.
It’s believed that Pochettino played a big role in persuading him to join and the club’s emphasis on youth. On signing he said:
“I also know that many young players are in the team at the moment, I think there is a wonderful project here.
“It’s a club that believes in young players and I am very pleased to be here.”
A good signing for the future. Hopefully he fulfils his potential here.
