Tottenham manager Antonio Conte says he is hopeful Ben Davies will be fit to start the Premier League season.
Defender Davies, 29, injured his ankle in friendly action against Sevilla on Saturday.
“I hope for the start of the season, for the first game, for him to recover,” said Conte.
Spurs face Southampton at home on 6 August in their opening Premier League fixture.
