SkySports pundit and former Spurs midfielder Jamie Redknapp believes Dele Alli has the ability to captain England in the future.
Alli scored his 13th Premier League goal of the season against Everton. He is the most prolific midfielder in the Premier League and has the attributes to develop into England’s starv player according to Redknapp:
“The 20-year-old has formed a formidable partnership with Harry Kane and the challenge for Gareth Southgate is to mirror that with England in the upcoming games against Germany and Lithuania.
“Alli is a player Southgate can build a team around. If he keeps his head right, there is no reason why he cannot captain the national team one day.
