Mauricio Pochettino has praised Moussa Dembele as a “genius” following his display against rivals Arsenal.
Dembele was back to his best in the NLD, both defensively and through his powering runs. He was arguably the best player on the pitch. He won possession more than any other Spurs player on the pitch and had the best passing accuracy rate in the game.
He won the penalty that Harry Kane converted and was fundamental in turning defence into attack for us – regularly finding Eriksen to set up chances.
Dembele is a huge player for us and it’s important he stays fit if we are to mount a challenge to win the league.
