Yesterday Christian Eriksen ended a summer of speculation by signing a new contract with the club. Despite being an integral part of our club since signing back in 2013, Eriksen still has some doubters. Hopefully these numbers will put to bed those critics.
Number Crunch:
Eriksen has made 101 appearances for the club.
He has created 272 goalscoring chances. That is the second highest in the Premier League since the 2013/14 season began.
Eriksen has scored 23 goals. Not a bad return – scoring in approx 1/4 games.
He has also assisted 23 goals. Unlike other playmakers in the division, Eriksen shares set-pieces with players like Lamela. Also, this figure is based mainly on him only playing behind one striker. With Janssen joining – Eriksen will have two players to feed chances – so should easily add to that figure.
