JUAN FOYTH has completed a £13million permanent transfer to Villarreal from Tottenham Hotspur.
The Argentine initially joined the Spanish side on a season-long loan last summer, after being frozen out by former Spurs manager Jose Mourinho.
Foyth, 23, impressed for the Yellow Submarine – making 32 appearances for Unai Emery’s side.
He showed his versatility for his new side, featuring regularly at centre-back, right-back and in midfield.
His loan spell culminated in playing 88 minutes of Villarreal’s Europa League final win over Manchester United.
A £13m option to buy clause was inserted into the initial loan deal.
Foyth joined Spurs from Estudiantes as a talented teenager in 2017.
It took time for him to break into Mauricio Pochettino’s first-team, and he was limited to just eight appearances during his maiden campaign – with none coming in the Premier League.
He was more involved during the following season, making 17 outings during 2018-19.
