It’s early days but Geroges-Kevin N’Koudou looks to be every bit of the player we wanted. Pochettino was happy to sanction the sale of Nacir Chadli and loan of N’Jie with N’Koudou coming in and in his cameo role off the bench in the Champions League he showed why.
Replacing Janssen, N’Koudou offered pace and trickery out wide – something we didn’t have last season. N’Jie was unlucky with injuries but Chadli never tried to beat his fullbacks. N’Koudou looked full of confidence and gave the CSKA defence a torrid time.
With Man City up next N’Koudou will be looking to get more game time against the top of the league side. His pace and trickery could be decisive and he will look at N’Jie’s performance last season – assisting Lamela for our 4th as inspiration.
