Kane would love to be ‘a one-club man’

Harry Kane wants to become a one-club man at Tottenham.

The England striker has revealed for the first time that he sees his long-term future with the north London club.
‘One of our own’ former Spurs trainee Kane , set to lead their attack against visitors Liverpool at Wembley on Sunday, said: “I’d love to be a one-club man.”

“It depends on how the club goes forward and managers et cetera, but I’ve said I want to stay here, as we’re in a great place at the moment. The training centre is amazing, the new stadium is coming, the manager is fantastic and we’ve got a young team. So it’s great.”
Kane’s goal-scoring heroics have attracted interest from the biggest clubs in European football. But the £100,000-a-week academy product insisted he is more motivated by silverware than cash.

He added: “For me, it’s just about winning — improving and trying to win trophies . When my career is finished, that’s what I want to look back on and be proud of so hopefully that will be the case.”
The back-to-back Premier League Golden Boot winner has scored 15 goals in 15 appearances this season, for club and country.
While Kane’s team-mates Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen have also attracted interest from Barcelona, Spurs have been heartened by the fresh four-year deal handed to striker Karim Benzema by Real Madrid last month.

The European champions are also said to have indicated to Tottenham chiefs ahead of their 1-1 Champions League draw at the Bernabeu on Wednesday that they have faith in the 29-year-old France international — despite boss Zinedine Zidane’s pre-match description of Kane as “the complete striker”.

Asked whether Spurs fans had any reason to be concerned, Kane went on: “No, I don’t think so. We’re all very happy here and have signed long-term contracts.

“Rumours can be compliments as it shows we’re doing good as a team but we don’t take any notice of them, we’ve got a job to do here.”
