The Daily Mirror are reporting Tottenham are interested in Real Madrid attacker Mateo Kovacic.
Tottenham have been linked with Real Madrid star Isco for some time, but new rumours today link us with his teammate Kovacic. The original sources come from Spanish media outlet Don Balon, and Marca have previously linked Kovacic with Liverpool.
But it’s Spurs that have the edge ahead of their Premier League rivals. Former WHL favourite Luka Modric has been full of praise for Tottenham and will point his fellow international and club teammate towards WHL.
Modric once touted Kovacic, 22, to win the Ballon d’Or by 2017. The player has struggled for games since signing for Real Madrid though and a move could be good for the Croat.
