Levy and Ange set to speak in room full of Spurs fans this month

Chairman Daniel Levy and Ange Postecoglou are set to speak in front of a room full of Tottenham fans this month along with a host of other important figures at the club.
It has been a while since the Tottenham chairman has spoken at a fans’ forum, with his public speaking appearances rare, although the 61-year-old did take part in a Q&A with The Cambridge Union during a session earlier this year.
Now Levy is set to feature on a panel which will also include Postecoglou and Spurs’ men’s captain Son Heung-min and for the first time at the occasional forums, there will be representatives from the women’s first team, with new head coach Robert Vilahamn and the team’s Lioness Bethany England also appearing.
The last forum with the fans took place during Mauricio Pochettino’s era with Levy and then captain Hugo Lloris taking part.
This new event will take place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Tuesday, September 19 and previous versions of the forum dotted over the years have proved popular in the past with the supporters able to ask questions of those on the panel previously. This year’s discussion will be hosted by BBC broadcaster and Spurs fan Nihal Arthanayake.
This forum comes after a year in which the club have gone through four different head coaches, sold their star player in Harry Kane, missed out on European football for the first time in 14 years, and Levy has come under fire with chants against him at matches.
The Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust also organised a demonstration against increased matchday ticket prices at the club’s one home game so far this season against Manchester United.
Postecoglou, however, has brought some positivity in his role as the new boss and the supporters will no doubt be keen to know more about how the Australian’s integration into the club has worked so far, what happened during the transfer window and what is to come.
The club have emailed fans eligible to attend, inviting applications from men’s and women’s season ticket holders, One Hotspur members, premium members and those from official supporters’ clubs, with an allocation of spaces also provided to members of the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust, Proud Lilywhites, Spurs REACH, SpursAbility and the Tottenham Hotspur Women’s Supporters’ Club.
If the club are oversubscribed with applications, attendees will be selected via a ballot. Successful applicants will then receive confirmation of their place via email no later than Tuesday September 12.
With the lack of communication from the club’s hierarchy often a bone of contention among the fanbase, this event looks set to provide some explanation of the events that have taken place in recent seasons and hopefully the prospect of a brighter future.
