Miracle for Mauricio?

Tottenham Hotspur are set to play Inter Milan at Wembley tonight in the hope to continue their journey in the Champions League this season.

Anything less than a win will see Spurs knocked out of the competition, after only winning one out of their four Champions League fixtures so far and accumulating only four points out of a possible 12.

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino will need to pull out all the stops in order to keep their dream alive when they head to Barcelona’s Nou Camp in December, but the Spurs manager still remains positive and hopeful that his team can deliver – “When people say something is going to be difficult I am so excited to show it is possible to do,” he said during his press conference yesterday before adding;  “We need to win the two games. We are going to try.”

Spurs Captain and Goalkeeper, Hugo Lloris, is back and available after serving a suspension following his red card at PSV Eindhoven. There are a number of players in the squad still unavailable to participate this evening because of injury, including Dembele, Sanchez, Wanyama and Kieran Tripper. However, Tottenham will potentially see the return of Danny Rose after being out injured with a groin injury since the beginning of October.

There is no question that Pochettino’s boys are certainly in high spirits and form following a show-stopping performance against Chelsea at the weekend, which saw them beat their London rivals 3-1 at Wembley. Tottenham will hope to bring that display and determination to the Champions League tonight and fight for their survival in the competition.

I don’t do score predictions but I believe tonight if we play as we did against Chelsea at the weekend it is a game we can win and win well even with some rotation in the team.
