Mourinho still has backing of dressing room

Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho reportedly has the backing of the dressing room – barring one or two exceptions. The 58-year-old is under pressure in the wake of his side’s dismal Premier League run, with the club taking just 12 points from their last 12 matches. And though a sacking isn’t on the cards just yet, the axe could fall at the end of the campaign.
Tottenham thought Mourinho would be the ticket to silverware when they hired him as Mauricio Pochettino’s replacement in October 2019. BUT, while he did well to steer the club into the Europa League last term, Spurs have blown hot and cold this season.
However, discontent is growing behind the scenes with Daniel Levy concerned about their current slump.
Levy is wary of relieving Mourinho of his duties at the current point in time, mainly because of how costly that act would be.
Mourinho is one of the best-paid managers on the planet, with the former Chelsea and Manchester United manager on a salary of £15million per year.
