Ndombele reveals improvement in relationship with Mourinho

Tanguy Ndombele has been speaking about the improvement in his relationship with Jose Mourinho at Tottenham Hotspur.

The Spurs head coach has been full of praise for the 23-year-old French midfielder, who has worked hard this season to improve his fitness.

The transformation of Ndombele behind the scenes has been noticed by everyone, with the club record signing now far more settled and happy in the group.

The result has been eye-catching performances in every match he’s played for Tottenham and Mourinho has rewarded his efforts, motivation and fitness with regular starts.

Ndombele admitted that he and Mourinho has their issues last season but the pair have put that behind them.

“We had a few differences last season, the coach and I,” he told RMC Sport following the 6-1 victory at Old Trafford.

“Aside from that, we are trying to each put our egos to one side, to allow the club to advance. For the moment things are working for the better, let’s continue like that.”

Ndombele scored Tottenham’s first goal at Old Trafford as the north London outfit ran riot in a 6-1 victory against a shell-shocked Manchester United, who lost Anthony Martial to a red card in the first half.

“This is not nothing, that’s for sure, we can say that this result is exceptional,” said the midfielder.

“Everything worked for us today. Nobody backed us and in a 6-1 win we gave a penalty away in one minute, but we were able to keep our heads high and quickly score the first two goals. Aside from that, it is certain that the card for Anthony changed the match.”
