New Stadium to offer most expensive season ticket in Prem history!

Tottenham Hotspur have launched the most expensive season ticket in the country, with a top price of £18,000 for a seat at their new stadium. The Times has learnt that the club have written to fans offering details of an exclusive membership scheme called the Tunnel Club at the new ground, which is set to open at the start of the 2018-19 season at a cost of £400 million.

The Tunnel Club is described by Tottenham as a “super-premium” membership, which features a glass-walled restaurant with direct sight lines of the pitch and the players’ tunnel as well as dugout-style seating, but many fans have been taken aback by the price. At £18,000 it will cost almost twice as much as the club’s most expensive seat at White Hart Lane, where the Oak Room is priced at £10,000 a person, per season. The most expensive club-level seat at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium in comparison is £5,755, although that does not include dining, which is an optional extra.

Tottenham are marketing the Tunnel Club as a unique experience, enabling fans to get closer to the action than ever before. The club have taken a conscious decision to make the membership extremely limited and just 104 seats will be for sale in the first season. Tunnel Club members will also get the opportunity to view the manager’s post-match press conferences, as well as a car-park space.

The Tunnel Club contrasts starkly with Tottenham’s pricing policy for Champions League matches at Wembley this season, where the decision to sell tickets for £25 enabled them to sell out the stadium for all three group matches.
