Premier League Experience Needed

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is targeting Premier League players in the summer.

Of our recent signings, the most successful players have been Victor Wanyama and Toby Alderweireld both of which have had previous experience in the Premier League with Southampton. Players that we have signed from abroad recently have struggled with N’Jie, N’Koudou and Janssen all failing to make an impact so far.

As such, it’s understood Pochettino to want to sign proven Premier League players that can hit the ground running. Targets reportedly include: Wilfried Zaha, Ross Barkley,  Andre Gray, Demarai Gray, Michael Keane and Harry Maguire.

On the face of it, Premier League players tend to be a lot more expensive then foreign imports. However, with Tottenham competing for the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup there is little time for players adapting to the levels required at WHL.

The new policy makes sense.
