Skipp signs new contract

Tottenham midfielder Oliver Skipp has signed a new contract until 2024.

The England Under-21 international came through the ranks at Spurs and has caught the eye of manager Jose Mourinho this season.

Skipp started back-to-back matches against Norwich and Burnley before the lockdown but has played just six minutes since the restart, a late cameo in the win over Arsenal. Afterwards, Mourinho said: “I know his blood is Spurs blood. I know what it means for him to play against Arsenal, to beat Arsenal.”

The 19-year-old said: “Hopefully now I can push on and see what the future holds, get more and more appearances. It shows the manager trusts me and the club have plans for me going forward.”
