Spurs closing in on Jeremy Toljan

Another day and another name thrown into the hat. It’s not yet clear if Spurs will sign a right back this summer to replace Kyle Walker, however the media seem convinced of it. Latest reports believe we will sign Hoffenheim full back Jeremy Toljan.

The defender comes with decent pedigree and reputation. He made his debut for Hoffenheim at just 18 years old and has represented Germany at every level from U17-U21. He recently helped Germany win the U21 Euros last month. He’s tipped for big things with the senior Germany side.

Toljan is predominantly right footed but can play on either side of the pitch.  Such versatility is welcome in a Pochettino side and at 6ft tall he would also add height and strength to an already powerful team.

Perhaps most fitting is his price. In a majorly inflated market we are stuggling to compete in transfers. Toljan should be available for a cut-price fee with his contract running out in a year.

Over to you Daniel Levy…
