Wolfsburg prepare bid for Son Heung-min

Tottenham ready to listen to offers for Son Heung-Min – and Wolfsburg are keen to sign him.

Tottenham’s £22million forward Son Heung-Min is a target for Wolfsburg.

The German club want to take the 24-year-old back to the Bundesliga just a year after he moved to England from Bayer Leverkusen.

Son signed a five-year deal last summer and made 40 appearances for Spurs last season.

But the north Londoners are understood to be ready to listen to offers for him – and want their money back – as Mauricio Pochettino reshapes his attack.

Son has not yet featured for Spurs this season as he has been at the Olympics with South Korea in Rio. His country crashed out at the quarter-final stage.

Meanwhile Pochettino has revealed he has great expectations for another of his frontmen, “unbelievable” Vincent Janssen.

The £17million Dutch striker, signed from AZ Alkmaar, started his first game last Saturday, the win over Crystal Palace.

Janssen played furthest forward with Harry Kane in the no.10 position for the 1-0 win.

Although Janssen failed to score, Pochettino was left impressed by his combative qualities and his ability to bring others into the play.

The Spurs boss said: “The way Vincent fights and works for the team is unbelievable, one of his best skills.

“Our supporters are very happy with his performance and we’re happy as well.

“He’s a great, great player and great man as well and he’s only 21, only young and he can improve a lot.

“Our expectations are big but it’s step by step because it’s his first season here in England and you have to give him time to work.”
