Walker latest to sign new deal

Tottenham have announced that Kyle Walker has signed a new long term contract at the club until 2021.

One of our longest-serving players and fast approaching 200 appearances for us in all competitions, Kyle joined us from Sheffield United in the summer of 2009 and after loan spells at QPR and Villa, established himself at Spurs in a memorable breakthrough campaign in 2011-12, where his displays earned the PFA Young Player of the Year award.

Kyle was a fixture in the team until being struck down by a couple of serious injuries in February, 2014 and April, 2015, but he returned to arguably his best form last season, when he passed the 150-game mark for us in the Premier League.

Now capped 20 times by England, the full-back’s performances in 2015-16 earned a starting place for the Three Lions at the European Championships, where he impressed again.

Kyle currently has 196 appearances for us in all competitions, scoring four goals.
