FIFA has opened disciplinary proceedings against Dele Alli after his obscene gesture during England’s game with Slovakia.
This is despite the fact that the gesture is clearly aimed at England colleague Kyle Walker in jest. There is more news to follow but this is another example of British media highlighting an incident and making a storm out of a teacup. Had this happened for any other national team, I am sure their media would not have shown so much coverage over the matter.
