Christian Eriksen is convinced Tottenham are destined to be top dogs in England.
Spurs ran Leicester close for the title last season before finishing third after a late collapse.
Second-placed Spurs have made a strong start to this season and remain the only unbeaten side after seven games.
Playmaker Eriksen , one of eight Spurs players to sign a new deal last month, said: “I wanted to extend because I feel that we can take the next step, which is to be at the top.
“In the past Tottenham have been a middle to top club, but with the players we have in the squad, our way of playing and a new stadium, then there is a possibility that we may be at the top.
“Now we play also in the Champions League, as we did in the past, and that is something I like.
“I personally had no doubt that I wanted to stay and be a part of the building.”
