Tottenham recorded an impressive 2-0 win over Manchester City on Sunday to move them into second in the Premier League table and close the gap on Pep Guardiola’s team to one point.
The north London outfit are hoping to mount another title charge after they saw their attempts to lift the trophy last term fall just short.
But under their Argentine boss Spurs are already looking like title-contenders and Lloris puts the training methods Pochettino has instilled in them down to their success.
“In football, it’s a lot about belief and we have some strong basics that we are building up now from the beginning of the Mauricio Pochettino era,” Lloris told Tottenham’s website.
“I think we’re improving every week, every month. Our team is still young but there is a big appetite here, we are all hungry to get great performances.
“It’s true you need to be consistent in the league but when you get the opportunity to play one of the top teams like City you need to enjoy it and play at your best level, like we did on Sunday.
“It was also important to win before an international break but we must remember that the season is long and we must always be humble.”
Spurs resume Premier League duties after the international break with a trip to West Brom on October 15.
