Reports in Italy suggest that Federico Fazio has now signed a permanent deal with the Italian side after he made 22 appearances for the club.
The deal will be finalised and announced in June 2017 following completion of the initial loan term.
The Italian club has already paid a fee of just over £1m and will have to pay an additional £2.5m in the summer.
