Match Preview: Spurs Vs Bournemouth

TEAM NEWS

Tottenham’s leading scorer Harry Kane is expected to start after returning from an ankle injury as a substitute against Watford last Saturday.

Victor Wanyama is fit again after aggravating a back injury during the warm-up last weekend.

Bournemouth defender Tyrone Mings could return after serving a five-match ban.

Midfielder Dan Gosling, who has missed two games with a knee injury, has suffered a setback in training and might not be fit.

WHAT THE MANAGERS SAY

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino on the possibility of finishing above Arsenal for the first time since 1995: “I think we’re playing and fighting for bigger things.

“If we look at the bigger picture it’s to try to reduce the gap with Chelsea. I think today it’s not important the gap we have with Arsenal.

“The most important thing is to do our job, try to win games and try to reduce the gap with Chelsea.”

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe: “We’ll need to match our performance from the home game earlier this year or even surpass it to get a result at White Hart Lane.

“Mauricio Pochettino has done an outstanding job. I admire his style of play and the way he improves players.”
