Tottenham will continue their hunt for young players for the future with Leo Da Silva Lopes of Peterborough on the radar.
The Portuguese 17 year old has made a flying start to life in League 1, scoring and assisting in his 13 appearances so far. Arsenal, Liverpool and Southampton are all reportedly after Lopes but it is Spurs that are leading the race and will make a move in January.
Lopes made his debut for Peterborough in April 2015. In July, then Posh chairman Barry Fry claimed Tottenham – amongst other clubs – were monitoring the youngster and today’s reports suggest we will go a step further and approach the club over a move.
Peterborough have previously been seen as a selling club and Lopes may look to follow in Dele Alli’s footsteps by moving from League 1 to Tottenham.
