Tottenham centre-back Jan Vertonghen is expected to be fit for the Champions League final against Liverpool.
The defender left the Amsterdam Arena on Wednesday night wearing a protective boot.
Vertonghen, who was taken off with a suspected concussion in the first-leg 1-0 defeat to Ajax last Tuesday, appeared to play the full 90 minutes of Tottenham’s dramatic 3-2 win without trouble on Wednesday.
But he was pictured by Belgian news outlet VTM getting on the team bus after the game on crutches with a protective boot on his right foot.
Tottenham striker Harry Kane is facing a race to be fit for the final against Liverpool on June 1 in Madrid, but remains hopeful he will recover from his ankle injury for the game.
Kane’s injury did not seem to slow him down when he celebrated at the final whistle following Lucas Moura’s 96th-minute winner.
