Who put off Morata from joining Spurs?

According to Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino, new Chelsea signing, Alvaro Morata was put off joining Spurs due to Harry Kane.

Pochettino tried signing Morata two seasons ago but the player was worried about what his role would be in the team under Harry Kane. Pochettino said:

“Morata talked about myself, in the media he said ‘Mauricio called me’. That was two years ago or more,” Pochettino said.

“He said to me: ‘Why do you want me if you have Harry Kane?’ You know, if you go to try to sign a striker, they will say: ‘Eh gaffer, you want me for what? To be on the bench? I can’t compete with Harry Kane or Hugo Lloris or different players.’

“It’s so difficult to convince good players to come and then be on the bench. Then the problems start.”

It’s clear that Pochettino is having a difficult time convincing players to play second fiddle to the first XI. Morata, who Chelsea reportedly paid up to £70m for, would have been a fantastic addition. How many players are Spurs missing out on for similar reasons?
